How to Play PSP2 Games in PCSX2 of An IOS File iin PC

This article has been written to help you to play IOS games in PCSX2.

Read it carefully.


Just follow all the steps and pay a bit attention. This article is the must for newcomers. You can watch the video on this article below.

Things that you need

1. System(computer)

2. ISO/ File- Game that you want to play(ISO/Zip)

3. Emulator- PCSX2

Process

Step 1


Install the PCSX2.exe file with default settings.

You can change the path of the file.

Just proceed with the instructions on your screen.

Step 2

Extract the ISO file

If you have a compressed ISO file, then just decompress/extract it from there to your desired location.

To extract the compressed file you need to have any extractor tool like 7zip or WinZip. 

If your compressed file is in parts then it may ask you to extract the second file. Just browse and find the location of your second file. Proceed same think with other parts of the file. But if it didn't ask for other files. Then it will extract them by itself.

Note: Step 1 and 2 can proceed in any way. No need to follow the exact order.

Step 3

Extract and Mount the PS2 Bios zip file
  • Extract the PS2Bios.zip File to your desired location. It's good if all files are extracted on the same place.
  • It will contain a file of name Pcsx2_Bios or something like that.
  • Not the location.
  • Open the PCSX2 file that you have installed.
  • Click next to leave everything default or you can change things if you know better.
  • Again click next, this screen only contains plugins of PCSX2. You can change the path to install plugins in the different location or leave it to default, just uncheck the box (use as default).
  • Now you have to mount the BIOS ROM. 
This should not be the default. For this, you need to uncheck the box (use as default) and browse to the location where you have extracted your BIOS file.

Just open it and select the BIOS folder to the location then press select folder
Now, a list will appear in the BIOS step box. This is for the language, just select your desired or any of them.
Click Finish to complete the process.

Step 4

Mount the ISO file in PCSX2


  • After the 3rd step's last process two windows will pop-up on your screen.
  • Left one is for the game settings and second, is just to tell you the processes that you are running in the emulator. It has no use.
  • Go to CD/DVD < ISO selector < Browser. Go to the location where you have extracted your ISO and open it. 













  • Now go to System<Full Boot and click on it.


Your game will start in the new window. You can minimize the previous windows But do not cut them.
